One day when I was making a series of lithographs for a larger installation, I decided to use real everyday objects to block out shapes. I used chili pepper lights because they walked the fine line between fake and organic. Once I made the image I thought how much it resembled a flickering flame. So this design is really just about the fire that drives creative experimentation.
